The Associate Principal AI Scientist (GenAI / Agentic AI lead) will direct the application of sophisticated quantitative expertise in advanced mathematical disciplines to develop innovative data science solutions. The role will lead the business implementation of GenAI / Agentic AI use cases that generate non-trivial insights by structured and unstructured data, in combination with business domain knowledge, designing LLM based agency framework (e.g. LangChain, Autogen, CrewAI), incorporating with business insights driven by conventional AI analysis. They are also the ambassador of GenAI / Agentic AI utilization, accompanying with field reps and brand team, sharing the best practice of GenAI / Agentic AI use cases. The role will work autonomously with limited direct supervision from senior team members. Will provide coaching, task management and support to Associate AI Scientists promoting best practice across multiple domains, and/or stakeholder groups.

【必須事項】

• Support our business unit in identifying and prioritizing key business questions, shaping quantitative analysis.
• Research and develop GenAI / Agentic AI model to guide decision-making.
• Propose solutions to resolve business challenges by using GenAI / Agentic AI technology.
• Design Agentic AI solution architecture (Profile, Memory, Planning and Action).
• Provide training and advice to collaborators on optimal use of key data, analysis platforms and the appropriate use of data science.
• Manage project to deliver high quality GenAI / Agentic AI services within limited resources; coordinate schedule, define project goals, control stakeholder’s expectations, create clear documentations, and explain key benefits without using complex words for generalists.
• Lead GenAI / Agentic AI research, discover cutting-edge technology that can be a gamechanger of conventional commercial activities. May present or publish findings for conferences and in peer reviewed journals.
• Lead collaboration with various functions to accelerate insight provision, brand team and external vendors.
• Build and manage effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure utilization and value of information resources and services. Clearly and objectively communicate results, as well as their associated uncertainties and limitations to shape solutions.
• Mentor & train more junior AI Science Specialist.

• Leading cross-functional analysis projects communicating with both business and IT infrastructure teams.
• Stakeholder’s expectation management to maximize benefit for both stakeholders and team members.
• Managing project schedule and outcome quality.
• Prioritizing detailed tasks to handle multiple projects with limited resources.
• Designing appropriate GenAI / Agentic AI architecture to solving complex business issues.
• Basic SQL based data extraction.
• Develop Python based Agentic AI deployment frameworks, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Autogen, CrewAI, and other related libraries.
• Ability to create documents to clearly explain complex architecture without using language for specialist.
• Understanding business needs and objectives properly.
• Explaining complex analysis to non-analytical personnel.

• Business level proficiency in Japanese and English.

【歓迎経験】

• Multi-person model development using CI/CD (GitHub, Codecommit etc.)
• Experience in front-end application development.
• Managing customer expectations for projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness of pushing company's business by accelerating data-driven decision making.
• Good cocommunication and logical thinking skill.
• Eagerness to absorb new, cutting-edge methods.

【免許・資格】

<必須 Mandatory>
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent number of years of experience in Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 5 year of project experience as leader of analysts using machine learning technology.

<歓迎 Nice to have>
• Masters or PhD in computer science or related quantitative discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharma industry or consulting farm.
